Fiçi here!
Well, here it is, guys. Our trip ended a while ago, but it took us a while to get everything in order. Tatli and I have been back on Mektep for a little while now and happy to enjoy our normal food (and customs). Nevertheless, visiting VIU was a great experience. We learned a lot from the folks at VIU and hope to one day go back.
Thanks to everyone who helped us out along the way! It was great to meet such wonderful people.
Until we return, thanks for the great experiences, VIU!
Remember, if you ever plan on visiting VIU, visit the Lonely Universe travel guide. It has a few issues, but hopefully it will be updated soon!

Tatli and Fiçi go Shopping!
Hey everyone! Tatli here!
First of all, we’d like to thank our pal Sean for our very first comment! It’s so nice to hear from people back home on Mektep; reminds us how much we miss you all.
Well, we finally decided that the stares were coming far too often for our taste and that we needed some new clothes. Like Fiçi said, originality is not looked upon kindly by Malaspinians... erhm V.I.U-ians. Unfortunately, the stores at the University were way too expensive for our budget and the clothes weren’t all that attractive either.
The other day, however, a local named Sam wandered by and solved our problems. Upon seeing our gloomy faces, she offered to help us in any way she could. So, after a few days of steeling our nerves against the guide’s numerous warnings, we asked her to take us into the slums to find some decent outfits.
What an adventure! We left the city and walked down the road into the heart of the slums. Fiçi and I were nervous Garfunklies of course, but Sam was cool as a salatalik. Check out the video to see how the rest of the trip went.
Oh, and don’t worry; we’re back at Malaspina (sorry, some habits die hard) safe and sound.

What a Trip!
Hi, everyone! Fiçi here.
Well, we ran into some problems getting to Malaspina. We ran into a herd of grazing space cows. It took forever for them to get out of our way. But after a very long wait, and a lot of honking, we got by. We finally arrived at Malaspina only to run into some very serious problems. The vlog will go into detail about that. I'll just say that we were very confused, indeed!
We also found that we didn't fit in too well. We thought we were going to fit in perfectly! We followed the guide and everything. Still, we didn't quite fit the part. It turns out that at Malaspina (or Vancouver Island University, as they are apparently now calling it) people don't take too kindly to originality. They stared at us everywhere we went and Tatli's double-sunglasses look really isn't helping. We're going to have to do something about this.
Still, it's great to finally be here!

Suggestions anyone?
Hey! Tatli here. So, as you can see, we posted our first video yesterday. We're almost at Malaspina and, quite frankly, we're really very excited. However, we're also getting a little nervous. So, we were wondering if you, our readers who have already traveled to Malaspina, could give us some tips or suggestions that would help us on our voyage. Afterall, the guide only helps so much and personal experience is always more useful.
Just keep adding comments to each video as they come along; they'll be much appreciated. Thanks!

On the Shuttle!
Fiçi and Tatli here! We're on day two of our trip. Almost at V.I.!
We had a few problems at first... involving the shuttle... but we figured we'd get a bit more personal and explain everything through our very first vlog!

So Soon!
Fiçi here!
Well, it's officially our mid-semester break here on Mektep. The countdown has begun. This year, Tatli and I will be taking off on a two week, inter-galactic vacation. We set out for Malaspina, the capital city of the planet V.I., in a couple of hours. We're getting pretty excited. Everything's already packed and we've booked our shuttle. I think that's really all there is to do... other than get on the right shuttle!
Look out, Malaspina; here we come!
