Fiçi here!
Well, here it is, guys. Our trip ended a while ago, but it took us a while to get everything in order. Tatli and I have been back on Mektep for a little while now and happy to enjoy our normal food (and customs). Nevertheless, visiting VIU was a great experience. We learned a lot from the folks at VIU and hope to one day go back.
Thanks to everyone who helped us out along the way! It was great to meet such wonderful people.
Until we return, thanks for the great experiences, VIU!
Remember, if you ever plan on visiting VIU, visit the Lonely Universe travel guide. It has a few issues, but hopefully it will be updated soon!

Tatli and Fiçi go Shopping!
Hey everyone! Tatli here!
First of all, we’d like to thank our pal Sean for our very first comment! It’s so nice to hear from people back home on Mektep; reminds us how much we miss you all.
Well, we finally decided that the stares were coming far too often for our taste and that we needed some new clothes. Like Fiçi said, originality is not looked upon kindly by Malaspinians... erhm V.I.U-ians. Unfortunately, the stores at the University were way too expensive for our budget and the clothes weren’t all that attractive either.
The other day, however, a local named Sam wandered by and solved our problems. Upon seeing our gloomy faces, she offered to help us in any way she could. So, after a few days of steeling our nerves against the guide’s numerous warnings, we asked her to take us into the slums to find some decent outfits.
What an adventure! We left the city and walked down the road into the heart of the slums. Fiçi and I were nervous Garfunklies of course, but Sam was cool as a salatalik. Check out the video to see how the rest of the trip went.
Oh, and don’t worry; we’re back at Malaspina (sorry, some habits die hard) safe and sound.
